Browser Defender is a freeware toolbar browser for Microsoft Internet Explorer. It installs itself as an Internet Explorer add-on and provides fast and efficient information about the pages we are about to visit, thus making it a very convenient tool to assure privacy and security while surfing the net. It can serve well for kids looking for online games and so on. This software provides protection from virus, phishing, pop-up windows, malicious sites and other menaces. Browser Defender add-on shows the green color bar when the protection is ON (on Internet Explorer startup), when the site we are visiting is safe or no threat has been detected. We are allowed to see the yellow bar for not-so-safe sites, red bar for not recommended pages, and grey bar when a page has not been yet tested. This utility can be disabled quite easily at any time. It is possible to download Browser Defender free or charge and directly from the developer's website. There is a good help guide online. Browser Defender, being such an effective, easy to use, and free tool, is highly recommended for Internet Explorer users.
